to create a new and original word entirely. The origins of the letters
reflect the core of our business – to create through an honest
lens and celebrate wholehearted love. The unique nature of our
contrived name also mirrors that of our work and clients – for we

Ruét founders, Kelsey and Talon, have been working behind the lens together for over a decade. The married duo bring a dynamic balance to their craft: Kelsey, the visionary, and Talon, the thinker – resulting in a perfect blend of artistry and reflection. Through their experience of over 350 wedding celebrations and thousands of sessions, Kelsey and Talon have learned and refined a routine that allows them to balance their individual strengths, providing comprehensive coverage from two experienced photographers.

Kelsey grew up surrounded by nature. Her childhood consisted of wondering through the woods daydreaming, which instilled a sense of awe for observing the world around her. She started photographing at 15 years old on a hand-me-down film camera, and instantly fell in love with having a tangible way to capture what was in her head.
Kelsey is drawn to photographing people and the connections they have, the way they interact, and creating meaningful experiences. Figuring out how to take the intangible feelings of being human and translating those into art is a journey she’ll never tire of. She loves shooting things that are a little wild, a little messy, and feel like they might’ve just been a dream.

About Kelsey
The Romantic, Idealist, & Creative Visionary
Photography found Talon through Kelsey. Talon has always been inspired by the arts, but never truly honed any skills until a camera was in his hands. From there he consumed all the information he could to ensure he knew how to operate in every scenario. With Kelsey being the flight of fancy creative director, Talon happily stepped in to help make their dreams reality.
Talon is drawn to photographing architectural lines and environmental shapes, and how people interact with and within them. Because he holds a more quiet and reserved spirit, observing and capturing moments as they unfold comes naturally.
The Highlights /
Favorite pastime is playing a new board game (nerdier the better.) Loves all things science-fiction. Feels most at home in the mountains, with Kels by his side.
