How long have you been photographing families?

Kelsey began photographing families in high school (around 2008), and has loved it ever since. Family sessions are beautifully fluid and child-led, which means we follow your kids’ pace and let their personalities shape the experience. We’ll gently guide when needed, while documenting candidly and artfully—so your images feel honest, joyful, and full of real love.

Every session & wedding we do includes both digital & film photography - at no extra charge. We photograph on a mix of 120mm film, 35mm film & digital.

How do we book?

To book your session, click the link above to view our calendar and choose a date and time that works best for your family. After selecting your session time, you’ll choose your location from our options. From there, we’ll email you a contract, and your session is officially reserved once the contract is signed and the 50% retainer is paid. The remaining balance is due one week before your session.

How do we choose locations?

For the lifestyle session, you’ll select your location directly through our scheduling link using a few pre-selected options. You’ll have the choice of a studio or an outdoor location, keeping the process simple and streamlined. For newborn sessions, we recommend photographing in your home or in a studio.
If you’d prefer a fully customized location and a slower pace, we recommend the Story Session.
If you're interested in a family shoot outside of the Austin area, additional travel fees may apply!

How far in advance should we book?

During peak seasons (spring and fall), our calendar typically fills 2–3 months in advance, depending on the day of the week and your preferred timing. We offer a limited number of weekend sessions, and those dates often book further out (4-5 months). But, always reach out if your ideal session date is closer than that, we often will have a few weekday times available!
For newborn sessions, we take a limited number each month so we can keep scheduling flexible around your due date. We recommend scheduling in your second or third trimester for a tentative date of 1-2 weeks after your due date.

What if something comes up day-of?

Life with little ones is unpredictable, and we get it. If you wake up with a sick kid, a rough newborn night, or a teething situation, just let us know at least 4 hours before your session and we'll do our best to reschedule. We typically have availability Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, so finding another date within a couple of weeks is usually pretty easy.

What should we wear?

Neutral tones, soft textures, and outfits you can move in photograph beautifully. We recommend coordinating rather than matching, and choosing pieces that feel comfortable and true to your family. After booking, we’ll send a session guide with everything you need to feel prepared.

What if my kids don't cooperate?

Our sessions are child-led, which means we follow your kids’ pace and let them be themselves. We’ll gently guide when needed, but we never force stiff posing or perfect smiles. The goal is connection over performance, and the “real” moments often become the most meaningful ones. So, as the parent, you can come armed with some snacks, and some play techniques that help shake the grumpy out. We also recommend putting them in clothes they're comfortable in, or have worn before, if they tend to be pickier about the clothes on their bodies!

How many photos can we expect? How long is the turnaround time?

You’ll receive a fully edited, high-resolution online gallery about 4 weeks after your session, with your film and digital images integrated seamlessly. Galleries are thoughtfully curated based on the flow of your session and the story we document.
For newborn sessions, we’ll also send a small handful of preview images within a week after we photograph your session. For mini sessions, turnaround time is typically 2–3 weeks.

Can we view full galleries?

We’re happy to share full galleries upon request. For the privacy of our clients, we don’t publicly post full collections online, but we’d love to send examples that reflect your session type and the season you’re booking.

Do you sell albums or any print products?

Your gallery includes an integrated print shop, making it easy to order prints directly from your images. We also have a few bespoke album offerings that we will send to you upon booking in your family session guide.

We met Kelsey and Talon in 2014 when we hired them as our wedding photographers. We have since had them photograph many other chapters in our life - first married Christmas, maternity pictures with our first child, a few mini sessions documenting our family over the years.
