The Initial Consult
After receiving your inquiry, we’ll meet on a video call get to know each other, hear your wedding day vision, and determine if we’re all a good fit!

Let's Make It Official
You know we’re the perfect addition to your team of wedding artists, and are ready to make it official! All you’ll need to do is sign the contract and pay the 25% deposit to reserve the date!
The Engagements
If you've included engagements in your coverage, we'll start to plan your engagement shoot! We feel that they are a beautiful time to get to know one another, and to help you start to get comfortable in front of the camera! We do most of our engagement shoots in Austin, but we’ve traveled everywhere from West Texas to Paris for our clients’ engagement shoots! If you want a custom travel quote, let us know!
Logistics & Planning
We have questionnaires we’ll be sending to you throughout the process asking about all the details of the day, including timeline, family photo list, how you want the day/images to feel, etc!. All those details will be used to help us understand your vision.
It's Wedding Day!
We, Kelsey & Talon, arrive ready to document the art that is your wedding day. We don’t take it lightly that you’ve trusted us to document one of the most pivotal moments in your life, and we love taking what’s in front of us and creating art from it.
Final Gallery Delivery
After the wedding, we edit your full wedding collection in a cohesive way, using our signature Ruét style, that embodies how it felt to be there. You’ll receive your fully edited image collection 4-6 weeks after the wedding in an online gallery.

How long have you been photographing weddings?

We photographed our first wedding together in the summer of 2010. We went full time, in January 2012 as Feather & Twine. We rebranding to Ruét Photo in 2024. We have photographed over 350 weddings.

Beyond having beautiful wedding photos, we feel that it is so important to have a photographer who you connect with. Connection is everything, and allows you to have images that really feel like you! You can book a call here.

How many photos can we expect? How long is the turnaround time?

4-8 weeks after your wedding, we deliver fully edited, high-resolution files in your online gallery that will be complementarily available for a year. We don't have any guaranteed photo minimum or maximum amounts, we shoot and curate the gallery based on how it felt to be there (amount of guests, amount of coverage, etc). For engagements, the turnaround time is 4-6 weeks, and you can expect between 100-200 images.

How can I make my wedding photos as amazing as possible?

Here's the truth: 1. Hire expert wedding artists you trust and enjoy spending time with. 2. Don't sweat the small stuff. In order to create art and photograph the true essence of your love, we need trust and vulnerability from the people in front of our lenses. It's okay to let out the emotions, it's okay to be yourself, and the more you let us in to your life the more your images will reflect that trueness.

We are so happy and grateful to have worked with Kelsey & Talon for our wedding in Italy. Kelsey and Talon are professional, talented, and hard-working; they are also so warm, down to earth, and fun to be around. For our big day, Kelsey & Talon fit in so well. In the bridal suite, Kelsey routinely showered me and my bridesmaids with compliments and support. My husband and groomsmen were so grateful for Talon’s direction and calm presence. During the ceremony, Kelsey and Talon were completely invisible and we were able to completely live in the moment. After our ceremony, Kelsey and Talon had a plan to capture all the most beautiful and special places throughout our rustic Italian venue. Every time we look at our photos, we are transported back to the venue and back to all of our emotions of the day. I don’t think you really need to read reviews to know that Kelsey & Talon are the most talented people you will ever meet, their amazing work says it all. But if you will allow me to rave about them even further, please continue reading. I’ve been a big fan of Ruét for years and when I got engaged, I knew I had to have them photograph our wedding. Yes, we did plan our wedding date around their schedule, and it was one of the BEST decisions we’ve ever made (right after deciding to marry each other that is). As a photographer myself, I know how hard it is to be able to capture those organic moments, and they just nail it.. every single time. I could go on days on how amazing Kelsey and Talon are but I will let you experience it yourself because you really shouldn’t look further for the perfect photographers. Trust me, the only regret I have ever heard from friends that relates to Ruét was that they didn’t book them.
